Automated Coolant Filling System for Enhanced Productivity
Automated coolant top-up systems
The function of these systems is to hold and deliver a consistent ratio of coolant to DM water to multiple coolant systems in the shop floor. The coolant is sucked from the oil barrel through a dosing pump and pumps out a pre-set ratio of oil to water into the tank. The system is equipped with a stirrer to maintain consistency of mixing. The system tops up the coolant at the correct ratio into individual coolant tanks automatically, once the level of coolant in the tank becomes low. This way the consistency of coolant is maintained in all the coolant systems in the plant.

FAQs
Automating the top-up process eliminates manual intervention, ensures consistent oil-water ratios, reduces human error and improves coolant quality across the plant.
Periodic inspection of the dosing pump, stirrer and level sensors is recommended. Regular cleaning of filters and check valves will ensure optimal operation.
Yes, the system can be integrated with most standard coolant tanks on existing shop floors without significant modifications.
The frequency depends on machine usage and coolant consumption. However, the system ensures that top-ups are only triggered when necessary, optimizing usage.
The system works with most standard water-soluble coolants used in industrial machining. Compatibility with highly viscous or synthetic fluids should be checked case by case
A dosing pump accurately meters oil from the barrel, mixing it with DM water at a pre-set ratio. This ensures uniform concentration for every top-up.
The system monitors the coolant tank level using sensors. When levels drop, the system activates to top up the coolant to the required concentration.
Yes, consistent coolant quality results in stable machining conditions, reducing dimensional variations and enhancing component surface finish.
The stirrer ensures homogeneity in the coolant mixture, preventing concentration gradients and maintaining consistent performance.
Yes, the system is designed to support centralized coolant delivery, topping up multiple tanks simultaneously or sequentially.
